The advantages of these methods include the accessibility and reliability of EEG signals. However, these methods have limitations in the sensitivity and precision.

A study carried out by Aalto University researchers analyzed children's eye movements during a virtual reality game to determine if the ML algorithm could identify the differences between normal and ADHD children. The results showed that a machine-learning algorithm can identify ADHD children.

Another study evaluated machine learning algorithms' effectiveness. The results revealed that random forest methods are more effective in terms of robustness and lower risk-prediction errors. Permutation tests also demonstrated greater accuracy than randomly assigned labels.
