Guild Wars 2 Item Upgrade
item upgrade (visit the following page), commonly called "upping," improves an item's stats. Each upgrade increment boosts a stat linearly.
Players can recycle up to six items at a time in order to gain an indicator of the level of the item's upgraded components. The cost of recycling items increases with their rarity and item level.
Upgrade components
In Guild Wars 2, an item upgrade is a way to boost the stats of your weapons and armor. This can be accomplished through a variety of methods, including by using upgrade components or increasing an item's rarity or mark level. Additionally, many items can be reforged to boost their stats even more.
Upgradeable items are available all over the game, both in the world and as rewards for missions. They can also be made by players. Upgrade components are the primary method to upgrade equipment. The majority of weapons can be upgraded by adding a prefix, like a rune or an insignia, and others can be enhanced by adding a suffix. These upgrades include an adjective in the item's name, such as "Radiant" or "Minor Vigor".
Glyphs
Glyphs are an effective instrument for communicating visual information. They animate in order to grab the attention of the viewer and spark curiosity. The majority of upgrade components added to items cannot be removed or replaced without dismantling them, with the exception of legendary upgrades and equipment. If you are looking to remove the glyph from an item, you will need to salvage it with a Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage Tool. The item where the glyph is located will be destroyed, however the upgraded item can be retrieved using the glyph shards.
A glyph added to an item can cause it to be unstable, and the shards that are left of that glyph will disappear from your inventory when you take it down. This will change the appearance of the window for the item, and allow up to six items be selected to recycle. Recycling an item upgrader kit adds small amount of points to its gauge of level. The amount is determined by the rarity of the item as well as its level. Therefore, items that are higher level are more valuable for recycling than lower-leveled ones.
In addition to reroll tokens players can also use Star Remnants and Reroll Tokens to roll the Weapon Traits of an upgraded unit. Rerolls are based on a % chance for a weapon's trait. If it rolls higher, then the weapon is upgraded. If it rolls lower, the weapon remains unchanged. Weapons can be upgraded up to three times.
Rerolling is a great option to upgrade an item. However, players should be aware of the fact that the total ilvl will be decreased by the number of rerolls it took to get it to the final level. This effect of lowering is most effective on Diadems and ring items that do not have any other options for raising ilvls.
The Reroll system has been criticized by players for being expensive and it's more fair to let people pay for it in the form of money or food items that allows them to change their build without spending too much time and energy. However the paid rerolls aren't something the developers are planning to incorporate at this point in the game's development. Instead, they plan to include an option to change the race in the future.
Leveling
There are many ways to upgrade an item. The most effective method to level up an upgrade to an item is by increasing the amount of upgrade. This boosts the upgrade value for any stat.
