Guild Wars 2 Item Upgrade

The statistics of an item upgrader are improved through upgrading it, also known as "upping". Each upgrade increment increases a stat linearly.

Players can recycle up to six items at a time in order to gain an indicator of the level of the item's upgraded components. The cost of recycling an item scales with its rarity and level.

Upgrade components

In Guild Wars 2, an upgrade to an item is a method to increase the stats of your armor and weapons. This can be accomplished in a variety of ways such as using upgrade components or increasing the rarity or mark level. A lot of items can be reforged to boost their value.

There are items that can be upgraded throughout the game. They are available all over the world as well as rewards for missions. They can also be created by players. The primary method to upgrade equipment is by making use of upgrade components which are components that can be slotted into equipment. Most equipment has slots for upgrading and some require a certain level of upgrade. Certain upgrade components provide specific bonuses while others provide an overall bonus.

There are a variety of upgrade item elements available in the game. These include universal upgrades, inscriptions, and jewels. The universal upgrades, such as gemstones and enchantments, can be put on any type of equipment and offer lower bonuses than upgrades for specific equipment. Glyphs are only available in gathering tools. They offer a variety of bonuses, ranging from increasing the speed at which an item gathers to providing extra crafting material.

To upgrade an item upgrader, click it from your inventory and open the Upgrade window. The preview will be displayed on the right side of the screen. It will show the expected statistics after the upgrade. If you do not have enough of either the two, the Upgrade button will show as Blocked.

The amount of upgrade components required for a specific item can be seen in the upper-right corner of the Upgrade window. The cost of upgrading increases depending on the rarity and level of the item increase. However you can lower this cost by purchasing upgrades from a vendor, or trading them with other players.

Nearly all weapons can be upgraded using the use of a prefix upgrade, such as an insignia, or a rune. Many can be upgraded using suffix upgrades. These upgrades change the name of the item to add an adjective, for example "Radiant" or "Minor vigor. The only exceptions are the non-inscribable wands, the shields and foci from Prophecies and Factions campaigns, that cannot be upgraded using any mods.

Glyphs

Glyphs are an effective tool for communicating visual information. They move to catch the attention of the viewer and stimulate curiosity in the brain. The animation of glyphs resembles body language, making them even more effective at conveying the message across linguistic barriers. Glyphs can also enhance the recall of the message by triggering an experience of familiarity in the brain.

Each glyph comes with a range of values that it can enhance a stat in the form of an item when you open the glyph in the Glyph Storage or when you use them to enchant an artifact. This is the maximum value that a glyph can improve a stat by but not the amount it actually improves it by. The actual value of the glyph is determined by the quality and tier of the item you're creating it for.

The majority of upgrade components that are added to items cannot be removed or replaced without removing them, with the exception of legendary upgrades and equipment. If you have a rune or glyph you don't want to use, but it hasn't been applied to the gear yet, you can move the item to a different piece by selecting the Upgrade Glyphs menu within the Glyphs Panel. This will create an Glyph Set that includes the selected glyph.

If you wish to remove the glyph from an item you must save it using the help of a Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage Tool. The item where the glyph is located will be destroyed, but the upgraded item upgrader mod can be salvaged using the glyph shards.

When you take away an item after adding a glyph, the shards that are part of that glyph will disappear. You can also apply the glyph to your equipment to give it a bonus. For example the glyph Deferred Damage can store damage for the wearer and distribute it slowly rather than all at once. This is helpful for players who suffer many hits from enemies but do not want to be overwhelmed.

Reroll tokens

Reroll tokens can be used to change the affixes that are placed on weapons and other equipment. They can be obtained from a variety of sources, including mysterious boxes, rare drops from skulled monsters, or by killing bosses. Each reroll provides the player with an unspecified affix, which is usually better than what they had before. Reroll tokens can also be used to improve weapon stats for more damage or bonuses.

Rerolled items are not listed in the menu of item upgrades, but they can still be upgraded. Rerolled items can be recycled by pressing the "upgrade" button which alters the appearance of the window and allows up to six items to be selected to recycle. Recycling an item adds small amount of points to its level gauge. This amount is determined by the item's rarity as well as its own level, so items with higher levels are more valuable to recycle than lower-level ones.

In addition to reroll tokens players can also use Star Remnants and Reroll Tokens to roll the weapon traits of an upgraded unit. Rerolls will roll a % chance to determine a weapon's trait. If it is higher, the weapon is upgraded. If it is lower the weapon remains as is. Weapons can be rerolled up to three times.

Rerolling is a fantastic method to improve an item. However, players must be aware that the total ilvl will be diminished by the number of that it took to reroll it to the final level. This effect is most evident on Rings and Diadems since they have no other options for raising ilvl.

Players have complained that the reroll system is expensive. It's more fair to allow people to pay for it using money or food items which would allow players to make adjustments to their builds without having to invest too much time. However, paid rerolls are not something that the developers would like to incorporate at this point in the game's development. They plan to add an ingredient that allows players to alter their race in the near future.

Leveling

There are a number of ways to boost the value of an upgrade to an item. The first is to increase the amount of upgrade that increases the upgrade value of any stat. The second is to boost the effect of upgrading which increases the healing or damage of a specific stat. Additionally there is the possibility to upgrade the base item to a more powerful upgrade type. When this is done the new item will maintain its iLevel however it will benefit from the upgrade effects of the upgraded type of item.

When upgrading your items It is crucial to keep in mind that upgrades aren't always planned. In the majority of cases, a better roll will come from the glyphs, however there are also chances for greater or special rolls. The item upgrading type will also determine the iLevel. If you upgrade a rare or unique item to a specific item type, then it is likely to gaining an upper level.

Upgrades can be expensive Particularly if you're upgrading gear from the standard track to legendary. The price will be based on the item's iLevel base and the amount of upgrade levels it has. Certain upgrade tracks require crests to be completed in order to move on to the next level.

If you're fortunate the upgraded item will attain the highest level on its upgrade track and gain an additional benefit. This will result in a significant boost in the upgrade value of the item. The bonus effect will change with each upgrade level. In general, the upgrade effect is increased a value of +3.

Depending on the item's base level and upgrade route, the iLevel of the upgraded item will also change. For instance, a weapon that is upgraded from a rare or exclusive item to a rare or exceptional item will be able to get the enhanced defense of the new base item type.
