So You ve Bought Item Upgrading ... Now What
Path of Exile Item Upgrading
In Path of Exile, item upgrading is among the most effective ways to upgrade your equipment without relying on massive drops or trade. This article will show you how to upgrade your gear.
Upgrades to equipment provide an additional bonus to the item's stats. The bonus increases with upgrade component's level and rarity.
Components
Upgrade components make your armour and weapons better. They can be obtained by destroying enemies, finding them in item spheres or buying them from karma merchants. They can also be salvaged from equipment that contains them, or through an advanced salvage kit such as the Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage Tool. Upgrade components cannot be destroyed when they are removed from the item.
Upgrade components are mostly used to improve an item however, they can also be used for other purposes. They can be stacked in order to increase the level of experience gained by upgrading existing equipment or weapons. They can also be made to provide extra bonuses. For instance, a specially created glyph can increase the chances of upgrading its target, whereas an upgrade boost will boost the defense or attack quality of a weapon or armor.
Selecting an upgrade template in the GUI will allow you to connect it to an item. This will show an upgrade component list that the item can be upgraded to. You can also use the workbench for selecting an upgrade template. In either scenario the item will be upgraded once enough upgrade components have been collected.
Each component has a distinct experience multiplier, which determines the amount of experience an item gets when it is upgraded with the component. Organic components, for instance, have an increased multiplier of experience than mechanical components. It is therefore Best item upgrade to upgrade with organic components until you have reached the experience multiplier for the next rank of weapon or gear, then switch to mechanical upgrades.
In addition to the experience multiplier, each item also has a maximum number of upgrades that it can receive. The number of items that are upgradeable is determined by their upgradeable rank, and the kind of upgrade they can get. For instance, the most expensive possible upgrade for a weapon is a weapon of tier 10. The most commonly used upgrade items is a gun of tier 6 and an armor upgrade of tier 5.
Sets
A set is a collection of items which all have the same bonus. Each item upgrader in the set can be upgraded at least once, and each upgrade boosts the amount of bonuses that are guaranteed. The first time you upgrade an item, its initial stat will be +1. In subsequent upgrades the stats of the primary one will be increased a bit more (for instance, +1 to 12+/13+/14+) Each time you upgrade item the item, one of its extra stats will be increased randomly.
Upgrades can also boost the damage base of a weapon. This can be crucial for certain builds. However, weapons cannot be upgraded to have a higher defense base than their base. Upgrades can be a great option to increase the value of some set and unique items, however it is important to keep in mind that they may not be superior to a high-level runeword in any build.
If an item you're upgrading comes with a guaranteed bonus it is able to be rerolled a few times, and then its guarantee will reset to 0. The same amount of power dies are used to reroll an item, just as it would be used to level it up. However, the new item has different bonuses. Upgrading can be done by visiting the NPC [ArmorBoboko. Boboko in the Central Flarine. To upgrade an item you will require the proper amount of Minerals and Erons as well as a power dice of each kind. They can be purchased by using Gold at the crafting table, or in the Ultra Collection. NPCs will also provide special rewards for each stage of the upgrade process. The reward can be rerolled one time using the same materials as the original item.
Rerolling
A player can reroll any item acquired during the game, provided they have enough tokens to be able to do so. If an upgraded item is to be rerolled, it will be exchanged for a version at a level 1 of the same item in another set. Reroll tokens are available from the store for an amount of in-game currency, however they aren't refundable. The new upgraded item will still come with the extra bonuses of the original one however, its stats will be different too.
Players can change the identification of their equipment, in addition to rerolling it by interacting with a NPC upgrader. This will change the identification from an armor to a weapon or vice versa, all the while maintaining its base stats and attributes that are required. The change is permanent and will affect all characters who own the gear in question.
The player can also upgrade their item level for any equipment that is equipped. This can be done by interacting with an upgrader NPC and getting upgrade components. This will cost a certain amount of crests and Valorstones depending on the upgrade track and the item kind. Each upgrade will add 5percent more damage to weapons.
Upgrades can increase the effectiveness of an Item Upgrader mod, however they also decrease its quality. Therefore, it is crucial to keep both in check. Certain items aren't worth upgrading, whereas others require upgrading to maximize their potential. One player may wish to upgrade their breakpoint armor using an interesting modifier ( percent block chance or FHR) in order to see what else it can be.
The primary reason people are able to reroll in Genshin Impact, or in any gacha-based game is because they are trying to acquire a certain weapon or character that they wouldn't otherwise be able to acquire. Getting these items can be expensive and time-consuming, and the RNG gods do not always want to play. The only alternatives are to spend money or grind for a long time. For this reason, rerolling is a popular option in Genshin Impact.
Leveling
When upgrading an item you can choose to increase the level of the weapon or armor. But, this feature does absolutely nothing in the current game. I believe it was designed to be a way to add value to rare items, but since equipment generally drops quickly and is only upgraded after a certain amount of levels and you'll typically replace the item before it becomes too old. It's also not worth it to upgrade items with gem sockets since the value of the gem will be greater than the increased ilvl that comes with the upgrade.
If you click the upgrade option on an item, you'll be presented with a small window displaying the upgrade template of the item as well as the cost of Valorstone and crest to increase the item level. The cost will differ between armor and weapons, with the former usually costing more than the latter. The upgrade template outlines the statistics that will be added to the upgraded item. It it also lists the current base ilvl.
The cost of the Valorstone and crest is calculated using the current Ilvl of the item and the upgrade templates. In addition the ilvl of a new upgraded item will be decreased by the upgrade template's lvl decrease percentage. For instance an upgrade of 8% will reduce the weapon's ilvl by 8 to 8%.
In addition to the base ilvl boost, the item will also receive upgrades in other stats, such as critical strike damage, damage from PvE and dodge, block, and parry rating. These upgrades are also based on the upgrade template.
The amount of defense and damage the item receives when it is leveled can be seen below the upgrade cost and decrease percentages in the upgrade template window. All armor and weapons that are not practice equipment get these stats once they've been leveled up. The market will determine the worth of these stats. A weapon or armor with perfect rolls can fetch more than a non-upp’d version. Similar is the case for other pieces of armor, like tiaras or circlets.
