World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading

The item upgrader Upgrade (Telegra.Ph) allows players to boost the gear rating of an item by up to 700 points and give it a bonus. Items can be upgraded by keeping them in inventory and heading to the kiln.

Certain items are worth upgrading because of their unique stats. (For instance an excellently broken point armor that is rolled can be used in melee PvP). Other items, like weapons aren't changed much after an upgrade, and aren't worth it.

Weapons

Weapons can be upgraded to increase their numeric stats such as crit chance, attack damage PvE and damage from PvP. They also have a flat bonus which increases their damage per second. Additionally some weapons come with an added bonus that is activated when three or more of the same weapon are present on a single unit. This bonus can sometimes exceed the damage a weapon upgrade alone can cause.

The cost of upgrading a weapon is contingent on its rarity and level. For instance the weapon with a +2 rating will require two regular Smithing Stones to upgrade while an upgrade of +3 requires four. The number of stones required to upgrade the weapon will continue to rise until it requires the higher level of Smithing Stones, at which point it will reset to one.

Upgrades to weapons will also reroll the stats of the base. While this is usually beneficial but it can also have negative consequences as well. Upgrades can make items unusable, unless you are extremely lucky.

Armor items can be upgraded to improve their effectiveness. For instance, if you have a helm or chest, this will increase the defense of its base, while gloves and belts will enhance their required strength and dexterity. Armor also has a reroll option for its Enhanced Defense%, meaning that it can sometimes roll back to a lower number.

The upgrade template for a weapon shows the new stats it will gain when upgraded in addition to their respective values. This means that an upgrade from an 8 attack-damage sword to an 11-attack-damage sword will result in the weapon gaining 33% attack damage. The 3% does not mean that the weapon will strike three times less, since it is an absolute number.

A weapon can also be rerolled using the green button that has circular arrows within the item menu. This will roll the item and change its stats, but it won't reset the weapon's levels or bind to account status.

Armor

A few armor upgrades can make a huge difference in your ability to survive. Certain sets can offer massive improvements in the resistance to poison, curses and fire as well as magic. This can make it easier to traverse difficult areas. In general, the greater defense your character is, the more value you will get from each point of health you have, so it's important to upgrade your armor as often as you can.

To upgrade your armor, go to one of the Great Fairy Fountains in the game. There are four fountains in all each of which requires you to complete a specific side quest involving the Stable Trotters musical troupe. Once you've completed the primary side quest and mastered the corresponding fountain you'll be able to contact any Great Fairy to open up the menu for upgrading your armor.

Each piece of armor can be upgraded to three levels and the amount of material and Rupees required to complete each level will differ. In general, you'll be looking at anything from three to five Red Chuchu jellies and 10 Rupees for the first upgrade, and anywhere between five Rubies and 10 Fire-Breath Lizalfos Horns for each subsequent one. For example the Champion Leathers could be upgraded to +5 defense, which allows you to keep pace with a large group of enemies in most cold conditions and the Snowquill Headdress can be upgraded all the way to +20 defense, providing the protection needed to survive the full-on assault with a few friends.

It's important to note that armor cannot be upgraded in the same manner as weapons, so you'll want to focus on upgrading it for physical power if you're Warrior or Spell Power when you're a Mage. You should also save your armor upgrades to upgrade the armor you'll still be wearing at the end of the story, such as the Ring of Lightning, Spectral Shield or the mask you'll wear in the final boss fight, the Monter Parts Merchant Mask.

You can also unlock some benefits to your armor by giving the jeweler in Gerudo Town 10 Twinkling Titanite. You'll generally want to save these upgrades for the weapon you'll be using to win the game. For example, the Longsword or Battleaxe. But it's useful to have a few upgrades to the helmets and chest armor to let you get around a few monsters.

Potions

Potions are substances in bottles that, if consumed, give the player a temporary status effect. There are five types of potions with different effects and durations. Some potions can be upgraded to enhance their level of effectiveness. You can also enhance the effects of certain potions by adding redstone dust and glowstone dust.

Upgrades to potion cost a certain amount of XP. These can be earned by crafting them on a crafting table or in the Alchemist's chest. The cost of upgrading varies based on the type of potion as well as the item's rarity and Mark Level.

To upgrade a potions you need to right-click it in your inventory. Then, select "Upgrade" from the menu. This opens a GUI where you can select the potions you wish to upgrade and the amount of XP they'll give you when upgraded. Upgrades to potions can be made in batches of up to five at a single time, and the XP that they generate will be added to your current XP count.

When a poton is upgraded, it will not degrade unless you take it out again or break the bottle in which it is kept. Clicking on the potion in your inventory will allow you to change its name.

There were some changes to the mechanics of potions in version 1.7.2. Splash potions for instance are now available with a time of that is 0:08 instead of 22.5 seconds that are displayed on the hover display of the item. The table of potion constructed from four Wood Planks, and two Glass. This allows it to be utilized by players playing Survival and Bedrock. Bedrock Edition potions aren't compatible with cauldrons, unlike Java Edition. The same applies to using a potion within an empty cauldron. This will drain the potion and refill the bottle.

Finally, there are lingering potions that are brewed using dragon breath and splash potions. Similar to lingering potions, the' effect is extended by adding redstone. The table of potion ingredients is now laid out more in line with the Java Edition, and new potions were added such as potion of leaping, decomposition potion, and turtle master potions.

Trinkets

A trinket is a small, inexpensive ornament or piece jewelry. It can be a reference to an object or ornament that serves a purpose but isn't particularly significant, such as a thimble. In some cultures, trinkets are used to symbolize affection or friendship, specifically between family members.

Trinkets can be upgraded by players in addition to weapons or armor, as well as potions. They can be upgraded by going to an upgrade vendor and paying the appropriate amount in currency. Unlike other item upgrades trinkets are able to be swapped out at will without losing their status.

Upgrade vendors can be found at the capitals of every zone and in some cases in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets are purchased using tokens, gold or fragments of a rare trinket.

Upgrades to trinkets are a cost-effective alternative to purchasing an entirely new one. A player can upgrade their trinket for as little 12 tokens. The new trinket will have the same base level as the previous trinket however, it will also come with an additional 1% bonus upgrade.

Trinkets can be re-upgraded once they're no longer needed which allows a player to increase their power and value over time. They can also be traded between players, making them a popular alternative to gold.

Players should upgrade their most essential items first. This typically means the top-of-the-line items for their class, followed by their secondaries and then other items of gear they won't replace in the near future (for example, a ring or cloak). Players should also consider their class's preferred stats when selecting which items to upgrade items. If Haste and Crit are two of the most important stats for tank players, then they should upgrade their chest, helm, and shoulders.

Trinkets can be upgraded to a higher ilvl once they no longer have value, and the new trinket will have an additional upgrade bonus of 1. However, a re-upgrade will destroy the old trinket in the event that it is not salvaged with a Black Lion Salvage Kit or an alternative salvage tool that is higher-end. Upgrades to trinkets can be more expensive than other upgrades, but still less expensive than purchasing new ones.
