For example, upgrading a Benthic chest to 385 levels will cost 20 recycle points while purchasing the same item from another player will cost 105.

Upgrades are useful items which can be used to improve the quality of weapons tools, armor, and other items. They can be bought by players from item upgrading upgrader NPCs in exchange for various currencies, and may also be found in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade is able to be applied to any tool, weapon, or armor. The button will show the item's next upgrade level when there are enough materials.

Upgrade costs vary depending on the item upgrader kit slot, and the current item level. For instance weapons cost more than gloves, bracers or bracers. Each upgrade cost 15 Flightstones plus a set number of crests. Certain upgrades provide discounts on Flightstones.
