World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can boost the value of weapons, armors and rings. They also boost extra bonuses like damage from PvE and crit chance.

If the weapon's upgrade template is in %, the weapon will gain an additional 3% of the previous attack damage each time it is upgraded.

The cost of upgrading an item is determined by the item upgrader mod's level. The cost increases with item's level.

Components

Upgrade components are items that can be inserted into weapons, armor, and trinkets to give an additional stat boost or impact while they're being used. These can be obtained through crafting, purchasing from vendors, trading or looting. Some upgrades can also be accompanied by special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be placed in equipment that has a slot for them; the item must have been at least upgraded to the blue level in order for the component to be used. Upgrade components, unlike other mods, can only be applied only once. They are not able to be replaced or applied multiple times. Infusions and enrichments are a specific kind of upgrade component used for non-amulet ascended and legendary equipment, as well as some of the back items that are not ascending. Infusions and enrichments can be retrieved by salvaging gear from the ascended, or completing an elite task in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

An upgrade can include a suffix or prefix, modifying the name of the equipment with the upgrade (for example "Canthan Armor Insignia is changed to Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades can increase the Mark Level or Rarity of an item, allowing players to create stronger versions using fewer Upgrade crystals than they require to achieve the same level using standard methods.

A boost upgrade can modify the attack or defense attributes of a weapon or armor. These upgrades can be crafted from the Portative Forging Station once the player has completed the cutscene and defeats the Crazed mechanic. They can be dropped by enemies while upgrading other gear, or by purchasing them from the cash shop for 500 upgrade crystals per.

Each upgrade increases the likelihood that a better-quality version of an item will be available during the next reset. This gives the player some incentive to keep upgrading their gear, even if they're unsure of how much it will increase after a future reset.

The boost upgrade may be successful or not, the process can be expensive, and there is a substantial chance that the item could become obsolete or even break when it fails. A unsuccessful upgrade could destroy Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder, as well as the upgraded item. This is mitigated by the availability of cash shop items that increase or even eliminate the chance of failure, as well as a few upgrades that give the benefit of being reinserted into an item.

Glyphs

Glyphs are upgrade parts which can be put in special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs increase the power of nodes within a radius, including any existing affixes. Glyphs are upgraded in many ways. We recommend upgrading them as quickly as possible to level 15.

In the endgame, you will often find that the Best item upgrade way to enhance your gear is by placing Glyphs. They are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded directly to level 15 and provide an enormous boost to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to climb higher nodes more quickly.

The majority of upgrades in the game can be replaced, however Glyphs are the one upgrade component that can be removed and put back in place without restriction. The only exception is legendary equipment that requires an Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and replace.

The value of each Glyph is displayed when you choose it in your inventory. You can choose to replace it with a Glyph of the same rank or a higher rank, which will boost the value of the glyph.

You can find Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of a Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain tools for gathering unlimited use as well as through Faction Crypt raids. Every Faction Crypt has the chance of dropping one of the numerous Glyphs as well as some rare glyphs that can be found in the form of drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.

Once you have obtained the desired Glyphs you'll require them to be placed on your gear. Each Glyph unlocks a special bonus which will boost the stats of a particular set of nodes within a radius around the Glyph. Depending on the Glyph the bonus will be +40 to one of your primary stats or +25 to two of your secondary stats.

Utilizing Glyphs Glyph will boost all nodes connected to it, and you should aim to place your Glyphs near the most important nodes of the Graph to maximize the impact. For example that a Druid should try to place their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes, but also be sure to place them near the most critical damage nodes, too.

Leveling

The upgrade system for items lets players increase the stats of certain items by placing upgraded components in them. This is referred to as "upping". Every upgradeable item has a level that determines its final upgraded stats. Upgraded items can be upgraded until they reach a maximum level of 385 ilvl. Each level requires a different amount of components to be reached and the costs for upgrading increase as the item is leveled up.

Certain upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient is obtained from the completion of Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be bought from NPCs, or on the upgrade tab in a crafting table. Each Upgrade Recipe that is completed will result in a certain amount of Technology points. These points can be used to level up the item, and when enough points are earned, the upgrade can be claimed and the additional bonuses will be added to the item.

When a player upgrades an item to a higher level, the original item is replaced by a new item of the same type. The same armor can be transformed into a weapon or a shield when upgraded. The new item will also come with a bonus of its own. This could be a disadvantage since the item may be more expensive even if you do not require it.

If the player has enough tokens they can reroll item upgrades. The item will be replaced by a brand new one that is based on a level 1 base and totally different bonuses. This can be beneficial, but should not be repeated often since it can be a waste of resources.

Some upgrades can be rerolled several times to increase their value, allows the player to modify their gear. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, since it grants an increase in power if the player is repeatedly in or exits water. The item can be upgraded multiple times by increasing the maximum roll each time by 10 increments. This item is highly useful in PvP. A perfectly rolled version could be worth as much as 50x the value of its unupgraded counterpart.

Requirements

The ability to upgrade items allows players to upgrade the level of their available gear--armor, weapons and trinkets above ilvl 385--by providing the appropriate items and currencies to an NPC who upgrades items. Upgrading armor set pieces will also increase the base defense of that piece, while upgrading weapons will increase the base damage and the strength and dexterity required to match the requirements of the upgraded equipment.

All items can be upgraded up to five times, with the exception of hero gear that can be upgraded up to eight times. Every each time you upgrade an item it is given a chance to fail--the failure rate increases the farther you go beyond the maximum number of upgrades. Failures can result in the item reverting to its original state, requiring the player to spend more money on materials than they would have to had they stopped upgrading at the highest number of upgrades.

If an item is not able to upgrade the amount of experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. The item upgrader mod also loses any bonuses it earned, such as crit chance, attack damage, or additional effects (such as increased heal over time or the speed of reloading). However, the player may still continue to use the weapon or armor following the failure.

When an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied from lowest to highest. This means that if a weapon receives a crit chance boost it will be applied prior to any damage from attacks increases. Slots is a brand-new attribute that has been added to item definitions. The value is calculated each time an upgrade occurs.

The amount of resources needed to upgrade an Best item upgrade is determined on the rarity rating as well as the number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading non-premium equipment is equal to its value. For example an item of common use could have five upgrades for a price of. 25,600 Technology Points and 4x Quality Improvement Chance--whereas hero grade items will have the lowest cost for each upgrade.

Premium items have different requirements for upgrading in comparison to standard equipment. For instance, they might require fewer sowels, but more minerals and erons. However, players will need to visit the NPC [Armor] Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they want to upgrade. In addition to the upgrade costs listed above, each equipment upgrade will require an individual amount of ingredients for upgrading.
